This year, one of the well-known international air carriers, Cathay Pacific Airways Singapore, for the first time, participated in the Eco Action Day. In an effort to reduce paper and electricity consumption, the company implemented practical changes such as waste segregation practices, sending eco reminders and putting up awareness posters around its office facilities. Furthermore, the management demonstrated extremely supportive role towards the green initiative hence contributing to the winning of the Most Inspiring Eco Award for their organization.

On the other hand, the Best Eco Practices Award went to Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a prominent Japanese organization with a comprehensive suite of company-wide environmental practices. Since 2008, the company has initiated Green Transport Day by encouraging their employees to take B.M.W i.e. Bus, MRT & Walk, to work in supporting the Eco Action Day. To date, this initiative has saved approximately 650kg of CO2.

In view of the continued support and commitment toward Eco Action Day for the seven consecutive years since 2007, three longstanding awards were presented to Alexandra Health, Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau and Senoko Energy Pte Ltd.
